FREE LEARNING COURSE FROM INDIAN GOVERNMENT
Human Resources development and Ministry of Human Resource development Government of india has started a scheme for people living in villages
to increase their standard of living and to avail the more oportunities of self employement for youth.Under this scheme students
have been skilled in varrious desciplines at PT.JAGAT RAM GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE HOSHIARPUR and
its SubCentres in Villages since 2009. This scheme is started by scheme community development through polytechnic scheme.This scheme was started in main centre in 2009 by CDTP.And till now 939 students has been skilled by this scheme
Objectives of the scheme.
- To carry out need assessmint surveys to assess the technology and training needs.
- To impart skill development training to the intended target groups.
- To disseminate appropriate technologies for productivity enhancement.
- To provide technical and support service to rural masses and slums dwellers.
- To create awareness among the target group about technological advancement and contemporary issues of importance.
Activities under the scheme of community development through a polytechnic

- Disseminate and application of appropriate technologies.
- Technical and support services.
- Awareness Programs.
Under this scheme,Through extension centres the training is given to students living in villages and in main centers . In Extension Centres villages,Main centre,the under mentioned training courses are provided.These courses are started from 1-05-2013.The timing priod of these courses will be of 6 month.
